Christmas Eve traditions

On Christmas Eve we always make cookies for santa, put magic reindeer food out for the hard working reindeer, read the night before christmas, watch the Grinch, and hang stockings.

Embers dance class

At Embers Christmas party for dance, the parents got to stay and see what the kids have learned over the last few months. this was the first time we got to see them dance.

Ember lost her first tooth

Ember's first tooth came out last night, with a little help. It was really loose and ember wiggled it around and pulled it out by herself. When I was little I remember leaving my tooth in a envelope under my pillow. Things are done differently now a days. you now leave your tooth in a cup of water. when the toothfairy comes she uses her magic to change the color of the water to the same color as the dress she is wearing as well as leaves money.

Christmas at the rink

we went to the rink on for a chirstmas party. they kids got to play games on the ice, see santa and get a goody bag. then to end the day they got to go on a wagon ride. the wagon ride was a lot of fun. we went out into a field and the horses were trotting and it was bummpy and athe kids loved it. when we were out in the middle of the field the driver stoped and ask if the kids wanted to make snow angels. all the kids got off and while they were laying down he started to go. the kids had to get up in a hurry and run to try and get back on. he didn't go very far before he stopped to let them back on. this was the highlight of the ride.

Hollywood

we got cotton a new friend yesterday. his name is hollywood and he is 1 1/2 years old. we let them both outin the playroom so they could get to know each other before they had to share a cage. they seem to get a long so far. for those of you that don't know, cotton is the white one.

wagon ride

last weekend we went for a wagon ride around one of the parking lots in Regina. the horses names were Fred and Andy. We sang jinggle bells as went. It was a lot of fun. Zander loved it and I had a hard time to get him out of the wagon. we had to go around twice and he still didn't want out.

Last weekend we decorated the christmas tree. The kids had fun decorating it and it is nice to have it up, it gets me in the christmas spirit.

Crazy

Jay decided to wait until the first blizzard of the year to put up our christmas lights. it was very cold, windy and snowing. there was a winter weather warning out for that day, but that didn't stop Jay from climbing on the roof and putting up decorations. oh for the record, I told him to wait for a nicer day.

Zane started to crawl last week, he is getting around really good now. Really keeping me busy

Jay picked up a Halloween cookie decorating kit in town so we had a lot of fun decorating cookies, but we also made a bit of a mess.

pit stop

on the way home from looking for scarecrows, we had to make a pit stop on the side of the road for Jay, a few minutes later we had to make a pit stop for Ember, then just a few more minutes another stop for ember. Zander thought he was missing out so he had to give it a try too.
