Bubba Bubba

Zander calls Batty, Bubba bubba, I guess it is to hard for him to say batty yet. Zander is gettting to be good buddies with Bubba. If I put Batty away in his pen Zander will push a chair over to the pen and crawl in to keep him company.

I need to give the dogs a bath and Zander had to help out.

Look who's home

Dora is finally home. She got outside just after Christmas and has spent a lot of really cold days outside. We could see her every few days across the street, but she would never let anyone get close to her. The lady across the street was feeding her and she spent a lot of time under the lady's deck.

Ember is so happy to have her back, that was her favorite pet. Dora spends a lot of time looking outside but has not even gone close to the door to try and go back outside. If she is not at the window she is snuggled up on Ember's bed. Ember is going to have a big suripise one day, I think Dora is going to have kittens in the next couple of weeks.

Chubby Cheeks

Zane has changed a bit since the last pictures posted. He is starting to get chubby, mostly just his face.

Spending time with Grandpa and Grandma

I should have had these pictures posted a long time ago, but I just never had time then. Now I am trying to get caught up. These pictures were taken a few days after Zane was born, when Grandma and Grandpa came up to visit.

Skating lessons

Ember started taking skating lessons in Feb. She really enjoys skating but the teacher keeps making them do harder things every week, which she doesn't really like. These pictures were from one of her first lessons. She is getting better every week.

Proud Sister

Ember is an excellent big sister, she helps me out with both Zane and Zander. I am lucky that she is so helpful.

Zander loves his little brother, and wants to hold him a lot. We sit together and find Zane's little nose and ears. Zander also feels left out sometimes so he has to sit beside me in the chair when I nurse Zane, it gets a little crowded at times but be all fit.

Baskets of love

I went over to J'nea's today and we took alot of pictures of the boys. Zane was not very happy about getting posed this way and that way. Once he fell asleep we got some really cute pictures. Zander had fun getting his picture taken, and doing different poses. We took over a hundred pictures so it was hard to choose what pictures to post.

Poor Dad

The kids have fun playing with Jay when ever they can. Tonight they are having a pillow fight and just being silly.

a month already!

It is hard to believe it has been a month already. It has been so crazy with the kids all being sick and in and out of the hospital. Things are getting settled down now so I will try and post more pictures every few days.

Bath time

Zander was having a bath and I thought I would see if Zane would like to have a bath with his big brother. Zane normally doesn't like bath time, but he enjoyed his bath with Zander. Zander is always wanting to help, so he wanted wash Zane's hair for me.

Saturday started off the same as any day. we went shopping in the morning, Ember had a birthday party to go to so we needed to get her a present to take. We came home and had lunch.

After lunch I started to have pains, but they were the same as the pains that I have been getting since December so I didn't think to much of it. Jay and I were deciding who was going to take Ember to the birthday party. I went to the washroom and noticed some bleeding. Jay dropped me off at the hospital at 3:30 and then took Ember and Zander to the birthday party. Auntie Laura met Jay at the birthday party and took Zander and would pick Ember up after the party so Jay could come to the hospital to be with me.

By the time Jay got back to the hospital my contrations were 2 to 3 minutes apart and I was ready to push. The baby was in such a hurry to come that I was not able to get any pain medication. The baby came out with the cord wraped around his neck a couple of times but he was ok, Jay was pretty worried for a few minutes. The baby was born at 4:55. It all happened so fast that we were in shock. Jay could have gone and picked Ember at the party because the party wasn't over until 5:45.

The baby was three weeks early but was healthy, he didn't have to go to neo natal at all, just to the regular nursery. I got settled into my room by 8 pm and the baby spent the night in the room with me.

In the morning my doctor came in and said I could go home that was about 9:30 am. The baby's doctor said he could go home that was at about 10:30 am on the condition that we bring the baby back at 5 to get some bloodwork done. the blood work had to be done once the baby was 24 hours old. we decided to stay in the hospital until the blood work was done so we didn't have to get bundled up twice.

I am not sure what Zander was thinking last night. I don't know if he was pretending he was a dog or just looking for a good hiding place. I was trying to get Zander to get changed for bed and he decied to go into the dog's kennel and closed the door. he was very happpy in there but if you tried to open the door he would pull it closed again and scream at me. He stayed in there for several minutes before he lost intrest.

Good-Bye Pheobe

We decided we needed to downsize our critters before the new baby comes. We didn't have the space or time for our great dane anymore. We are all a little sad to see her go, but she has gone to a new home that has more space and where she will get more attention.

Zander and Pheobe were good buddies. When ever I told Pheobe to go to her blanket Zander would race there and sit and keep her company. He would also go downstairs into the crawl space if he thought she had spent too much time down there by her self. I think he will miss her.
